Default Thrust bearings shot on a B-series???????

Alright H heads,

My thrust bearings just went out on the LS/VTEC set up that I have in the Hatch. i have never heard of this happening to Bseries motors, but then again i don't know if the LS block has anything to do with it. what are some solutions to take care of this problem? what route would be best.

i will be happy to answer any questions

thanks guys

Barnabie

Typically a thrust bearing problem is from clutch t/o bearing or transmission misalignment. On domestics it can happen from people that rest their foot on the clutch pedal or "ride" the clutch.

i know on domestics it has happened, but i have never really seen this on a honda motor. do you think that the clutch might be too much for the motor?

On a B-series, it's usually too much clutch. Not a common problem. H-motors on the other hand...

Not neccesarily too much clutch, but too much clutch disengagement. What kind of clutch do you have?
