Bringing over a shell from Japan
I'm starting to put together an H2B build, but I'm not really sure which chassis to swap it into. I've been thinking about just plopping it into an EG hatch chassis and calling it a day, but that's been done a million times before.
What I've also been thinking is, would it be possible to somehow have someone over seas in Japan find a rolling ITR shell to ship over? I figure the the shell itself couldn't be over $4000 (for a 96 or something) and then I could have someone disassemble it (doors, interior, etc.) and ship the shell over in a crate.
I know what's involved in bringing a complete JDM ITR over here and I know that it's a total PITA. Maybe just the shell wouldn't be as difficult? That way I could just re-assemble, swap my motor in and then get it registered.
