Default help!!! knukles remove

i need to change both sides of the knuckles of my 5gen lude. i got a slide hammer to take it out. so how can i put it back on?(update) after the guy put the knuckles back....when i drive at 50mph through a veryvery very small bump...i heard zi zi zi sould. what cause that sound, does anyone know?

you mean the hubs? wheel bearings?

you should have a press...

yes...the wheel and hubs. i already installed the wheel bearing in the knuckles.

the hub should be pressed into the bearing.
I guess you could try to use the slide hammer...but thats really bad for the hammer and it wont be good on the bearing....


edit: scratch that idea...you will ruin the bearing if you do this.
take the knuckles out and have someone press the hubs in.

Yeah, that job is a pain to complete. I did it with a friend on my 5th gen. Fortunately, he had access to a machine shop with very large presses and after many hours of work we had the new bearings on and the hubs pressed in. If you don't have large hydraulic presses, you're out of luck.

Pay the money to someone with the equipment and get it done right!

its not a hard job if you have a press, a large pair of snap ring pliers, cut off wheel, chisel and hammer...*shrug* I can change one in about an hour.
