why would "we" bitch about pinks tv show ? it is obviously somewhat biased & generaly bad tv in "our" opinion

pinks all out, another story..... you do realize its a "bracket race" and the cars that "put on the best show" are obviously going to be the ones getting on TV. they arent going to put some shitbox 12sec primered out hondas on tv... thats not entertaining for america... hell the majority of people that are into cars are into "muscle" v8, wheelie poping, gas hogging machines... we are only a small portion of the "car enthusiast population" what is appealing to "us" is not appealing to the rest of america.

take the turbo boosters off, see how fast that 85hp of fury gets you

 

We took the Porsche to the Florida event, just like Tony we were too fast since they pick the 11 sec class, we were at 10.70s, had a good time however domestic's are not for me.

 

I went to the pinks all out at maple grove and they picked a mid 9 second class. They interviewed me and were all excited about the car. I thought for sure I would have some air time. Sure enough when the show aired there was no interview, and no pictures of any of the imports that were there. There were only six anyway.

The show is obviosuly geared toward domestics and I must say a lot of them that raced at maple grove looked like crap. Different color body panels, in primer and so on.

 

I raced in the Pinks All Out @ Rockingham. I actually made it on tv twice with in the first 6 mins of the show. My total air time was about 1.5 seconds, but I still made it, hahaha. They ended up picking cars that were running 10.60's or so, one of which was a black CRX that made it to the final 4 as Im sure some of you saw. They also interviewed another guy that is on this board that has a white EG hatch and that made the show.

Lots of people won't bother going because they pick a time slot, why would I go 6-8 hours to PA just to see if the times my car ran got picked when I have races to make on the NHRA/NDRA circuit?

But I do like pinks all out much more, if they replace the whole entire cast with people that aren't tools maybe I would be more inclined

I know some of you got on the show, I have seen and recorded every All Out since Dallas.

There's no for sure way to get on the show, you just have to be lucky enough to get into a cluster.

I would be willing to bet however if they found 8 compacts and 8 domestics all running within a few tenths of each other, they would put that on the show.

The problem is, people like Tony show up, run a mid 9 and nobody else is even close to that in a compact, plus he was faster than the cluster they picked, can't win them all.

I was just wondering if anybody else went besides the couple of Hondas that were shown at Rockingham and one made it.

I found that Las Vegas is going to host an event in early Sept. - http://www.lvms.com/

This distance is more manageable than Phx, Az and I am going to try and make that.

You just never know and NHRA doesn't pay nearly as much for brackets, so unless your car runs low 10's your not going to be competitive in SportFWD unless you expect a alot of breakage.

You just never know what cluster you could be in, but just pay attention, eliminate the fastest of the fast and the slowest of the slow and you'll be in the ballpark.

LV wants 12.99 and faster cars, so you can expect a cluster of at lease 12.90-12.99, but I doubt you'll see that, LV's location allows for a fair amount of a cars in a 2-3 hundred mile radius.

Maybe when Drag City finally opens.... or Famoso?

he is actually goin to MIR for what ever class there is the v8 blower radial cars. unlimited street? i think. ill let him out then.

 

I'm glad that we are trying out for these events....i'm always watching new episodes hoping for some imports to get picked....so keep up the good work and good luck to all

Did they show? I don't remember seeing any other imports then the locals... What cars where they?

 

Got some Pinks footage from Vegas on the Speed Scene Live show the next two weeks!
