my car won't go passed 7200. for starters i got a gsr with a p28 chipped with hondata s300. i just had to replace the ignition control moduel or the inighter in the distributor. ever since then i can't go pass 7200. ive tried the type r program and still the same. anyone with the same problem or any help? thanks

 

Are you htiing a rev limiter or is the car losing power? If it is losing power, check the VTEC operation.

 

it sounds like i am hitting the rev limiter. on the program i maid sure that the rev limmiter is set at 8200

 

Have you swapped the original ECU into the car to verify that the tach is working correctly?

 

yeah, i'd also recommend trying out your stock ecu....if your stock ecu lets you rev past 7200 rpm, then you know its either the chipped p28 or the program your running that's causing the problem.

i don't have stock ecu. it was a ls before. i guess i can try to get one
