Default A/c good or bad idea?? is a/c a h.p killer??

I have a 95 eg with a b16a 2nd gen, and i was wondering if installing my oem a/c system was a good idea. when i had a d15b a few months back i had tooken of my a/c i had it off for about 1 year. now that it's hot and i have a more powerfull motor im wanting to put it abck in my car everythign is in i jsut need to go get my a/c charged. But some people were telling me that it's going to tkae alot of power off my motor is this true??/ i know it will tkae some but i hope not noticably. also when i have my a/c off my car should run the same as if i never had a/c installed in it????? or will i feel a lag b.c my motor is pulling an extra belt for the a/c please help i need to know before i got charge my a/c next week any advice will help.

a/c will rob a few hp when you have it on. nothing drastic. you have a b16 anyway, lets not get into that.

If you want A/C then your gonna have to deal with what few hp it takes to spin that compressor. There is next to no hp loss when you don't have the A/C on. If need be, just turn the a/c off its just a few inches from where your hand rests on the shifter.

That's funny. I think the same thing when I see people with remotes for their CD players in-dash. Give your ab muscles a twitch and lean forward and press that **** with your french fry oil-encrusted finger.

thanx for the help i think im going to go ahead and recharge my a/c im glad to hear that it will not take to much power away especially when its off worst case i can jsut turn it off.

my a/c button controls my 2 step/ so no a/c
