header banging radiator
i've searched some on here and i didn't see anything about this, but i may just not have been looking hard enough...but after bending the crossmember a bit the front of it is still coming up and clipping a plastic piece coming off of the radiator and if it snaps it i know it will leak...so does that mean i need to bend the front of the cross member a little more...or should i just get started on the area where its hitting the radiator?...and again if its already been asked, sorry

Before I read this answer I knew you were gonna say Megan. From what I have read the megan headers use thicker flanges where it bolts to the head and they also come out further than most headers meaning it will rub like it does on your car. I say if your gonna run that header just trim your fan shroud where it is hitting. I know I have seen the thread on here because that is how I heard about it, you really need to spend more time searching the archives and you will find it

the crossmember is hitting on the bottom of the radiator where some plastic caps come out, i should have mentioned this earier but i never really thought about it but its an aftermarket radiator installed by the guy i bought the car from...so im thinking about just banging the crossmember where its hitting

Your front end is crooked then, it must have been in a wreck to be like that. My '90 Si was the same way and my rad rubbed the crossmember too, it was my lower fan shroud mount tabs that were actually rubbing so I just cut the off since it had no effect on how the fan held in place. Funny thing is the same exact motor and rad is now in my NEVER been wrecked DX and it fit freakin perfect just like it's suppossed to
. I swear if you sneeze too hard you can bend the front end of these freakin EFs, the smallest collision and your screwed!

i hope it hasn't been in a wreck, the carfax report was clean but it might not have been reported, but thinking about it, if it came off with no problem shouldn't it go back on with no problem?

It does not take much at all to bend the EF front end hence why you would not find it on carfax. It may have just rearended somebody before, either way I can pretty much promise you it's bent even if just a little bit. You gotta get a body shop to fix it right but it's not that bad you can still get around it if it's not to bad (if it was real bad you would not have missed it).
Just becuase it comes off w/o a problem does not mean it will go back on w/o a problem. Once removed the frame can settle a bit since it has no main support, meaning you have to work it back into place (same thing for my '90 Si)
