Default JDM K20 Type R

Well it was a horrible day today, I was driving down the freeway not doing anything outrageous. When...(boom) a lot of smoke and oil coming out the rear. Thats right I blew my motor driving normal freeway speed.

So I decided I would try and talk Acura into getting me a Type R motor.(I still have warranty). I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a motor. The tranny and everything else is fine I just need the motor itself. Any info would be great, thanks guys.

retarded comment of the day goes tooooo........ yes! thats right, YOU!

Honda/Acura would never replace a USDM motor with a JDM motor, why would they pay to import one when they have plenty of USDM motors around.

your funny ... lol ... you do know why in the states we cant by JDM type r motors right ... what makes you think that if you bought one the dealership is even gonna put it in for you ... they wont even put in aftermarket parts that arent part of their H.A.R.D. partnership ... which means only AEM and a couple of other companys are the only performance parts you can bring them without voiding warrenty ...

just convince them to give you an 05+ Type-S motor if you have an 02-04 and be happy. if you already have an 05+ then you got a new motor, break it in right this time!

doensn't acura have that "1st motor is out of goodwill" policy
the next one they will not cover
i would just stick with a same replacement just to avoid future conflicts

Your warranty covers like for like, not like for upgrade.
