91 ef 4 door
i got a new car its an ef sedan with a dual point d15
it ran for a couple days and then one day it wouldnt start
it cranks and wants to start but it just sputters and dies
even when i stop turning the key it still tries to start for a while
the first time it did it it actually started after stuttering for a while
please help

well it sounds like the engine is startig to turn a little bit then like starts over
and the one day when it started i drove it to my friends and it started perfect on the way home then the next day and since nothing

?? i don't think that's the ticket.
i think the answer has something to do with the fact that it keeps turning over after you've released the key.... can't remember what that means though. timing is off, or ignition switch or something....

Turn your key into the "II" position, you should hear the fuel pump whirring for a few seconds. Then when the check engine light goes out on the dash, you should hear the main relay click. If there's a problem with either of these, try replacing the main relay and see if it solves the problem.

I say try this ^^ since it is so easy but otherwise you really need to take it to a mechanic, if your thinking the iol pump could be causing this????? man REALLY, GO TO A SHOP before you mess somthing up or spend needless money to try and throw parts at it to fix it.

i did what u said and it made all the noices u explained
then i tryed starting it and it started for a second actually then died sputtering like it did before and alot of smoke came from the exhaust.
then i tryed it again and it kinda did the same thing
then i tryed it again and it only cranked it didnt turn
help please

What color was the smoke? If it was black and / or smelled like fuel, I'd be willing to bet either you aren't getting spark or your timing is off.
