Default bent valve question

Recently my car has been consuming a lot of fuel. The only thing I can think of that might be a problem with my motor is a bent valve. Would having a bent valve result in to much fuel consumption?

Default Re: bent valve question (simply)

It could but it's not likely your problem.A compression test will tell you if it's a bent valve. It's more likely a bad o2 sensor or injector.
