Default type s motor

will the type s motor bolt up to the auto trans? I'm seeing about getting a type s motor for my prelude until my other motor is done. I need to know if it will fit. Will the sh motor bolt up? thanks

the type S motor wont bolt up to the auto tranny because the type s has basically the same engine/tranny setup at the Sh does. SH blocks will not mate to a Base or auto tranny without custom modifications.

let me get something clear here..... the only reason why you want the typeS motor is because your other motor is out and getting built or something???
dude, the money you would spend on the typeS motor can buy you a nice beater.
ever though about that?

Actually, the base model tranny will bolt up...I have a 5spd base, and bought an SH motor cause thats all I could find, and it works fine....
