2004 Honda Accord V6 engine noise
My girlfriend has a 2004 Accord V6 sedan. After the car is warmed up and idling at a stop light, most of the time you can hear this clicking or rattling sound coming from the engine bay. Her car has about 35k miles on it. Do the valves need adjusting on the 2004 V6 models? Or do the drive belts need adjusting? Any help is most appreciated as I am new to Hondas and their maintenance.

Thanks for the reply. I really don't believe it is the injectors as I know what that sounds like and the noise I hear is different. It is not a ticking sound which is more like the injectors, it is almost a rattling noise. The noise is most noticeable at idle at a stop light.
Does anyone else know if the valves need adjusting or any other ideas as to the noise? Or do the drive belts need adjusting on the Accord?
Thanks for your help.

sounds like valves but is the noise louder then usual? check to see if the noise is louder by both valve covers, if so more then like it is, but are they adjustable? check to see under your hood for a valve lash specs, that usually means its adjustable.
The maintenance section says to adjust the valve clearance at 105k miles, or if noisy. That does not mean your noise is or isn't the valves though. If you had a stethoscope you could listen to the valve covers more closely. Have you gotten someone else to sit in the car while you listen to it with the hood up? The drive belts have a spring loaded tensioner, but if the tensioner is worn, it can rattle. Rattles can come from many different things.
