Ive been having alot of trouble closing my trunk, itll get fixed where it will close and soon as i hit a bump or even backing out the driveway sometimes it flies open . I dont know if it is a defect in the damn latch or what. i was just wondering if anyone else has or had this problem.

 

The previous owner probably neglected to tell you of a possible rear end collision that wasn't fixed properly. You may be able to adjust the latch itself, to get it to lock properly.

 

take it to the dealership. if its not a big deal they might just fix it in the parking lot real quick for no charge. they did that when my hood wouldnt close. it was the latch being retarted.. doesnt hurt to ask whats up

 

toyomatt is probably right, i got rear ended a few months ago and now my trunk doesn't close sometimes. it could also be from the cable being stretched if it did get rear ended

 

my car does this as weel and has never been rear ended. It has gone to the dealer twice to be fixed but the problem keeps coming back.
