Here it goes. I picked up this car awhile back with intentions of "refreshing" it. I'm no expert by any means but I think I did pretty good getting an R. Everything appears to check out with it. All VINs match and it came with a clear title...even has the armrest badge if it truly is the correct one. I plan on repainting it this coming spring as well as fix all the little things I've found thus far. Here are a few pics although they aren't the best. I didn't see it listed on the 01 thread so that's a bonus for those who like to keep track of them.

 

Looks good, I like the black on black, personally with that look i'd tint the living **** out of the windows, and toss those clear bumper signals in the garbage and get some OEM units.

Definitely a very nice car! Any aftermarket parts beside the wheels and the hideous turn signals? OEM turn signals FTW

 

I agree on the bumper lights. That's what was on it when I got it but for 9k I'm not complaining. Still on the fence of doing a JDM HID front being I am painting the entire car. I'm keeping with the black on black as that has grown on me. In fact, I'm going to get some different wheels for it but have them sprayed when the car gets painted. NBP all around! Unfortunately tint is out...cops have a boner for that around here.

I am **** about lips on the 98+ fronts so I suggest an OE lip to top it all off.

OMG, I found my twin. Or alteast thats how my car used to be like. Clear cornors, slipstreams, lowered, tint, etc...

Only other modifications are an intake, a fuel pressure gauge on the filter, and a POS exhaust that has got to go. I'm just happy to have found an R in what I consider to nice condiiton. Certainly has potential in my mind. Thanks for the comments....looking forward to being around more often. I'm sure you guys will be all kinds of helpful in getting this car back into pristine condition.

x2 my old gsr was black with dark wheels and 5% tint.

limo tint those windows and call it a day

at the house in the picture. LOL I mean am I not supposed to keep that info to myself being an R owner from what I hear about theft? You guys certainly make me feel that way from the posts I have read. It's sad to see that crap about theft. I have what seems to be the 2 cars that wouldn't last minutes in certain areas. Where I live I could leave it sit with the doors open, keys in it, and put a sign that says "take me" and nothing would ever happen. I still treat them like I'm in the crime capital of the world though.
