abs light and ebrake light after rear pads replaced?
as stated in the title... the rear brake pads on my ex's 96 si lude were replaced by a "friend" of hers. im assuming he didnt know what he was doing because now the ebrake light and the abs light are now on. she asked for me to try and figure out whats wrong but its hard considering i live in florida and she lives in california... anybody have any ideas as to what this dude did wrong or what could be done to fix it? thanks in advance

Start with the simplest **** first.
- make sure the fluid is topped off
- make sure the abs sensors are all plugged in and the connections are clean and tight
Check those two things first, could be an easy fix...hopefully.
Also ask her if the brakes feel spongy or not working properly in any way. That would help you determine the problem alot easier. Or you could just scan the code if you have access to a scan tool.

i will give her that info and see if she comes up with anything and post up the results...

yeah the ebrake light will light if the fluid is also low. check and see if the light gets brighter when you actually apply the ebrake. the guy could've messed with an abs sensor when he was back there
