i have a p61 chipped ecu, "custom burn" zero daze chip from previous owner.

i want to make it right, would tunning do this, or would placing a stock chip back be a fast reliable fix? the previous guy ran a VAFC and leaned it out BUT i do not know how to use/setup/work a VAFC so i do not wanna mess up my engine....

I know that tunning is my best bet, but to get a tune i have to travel over 4 hours (closest dyno/ tunning)

still learning.......

so whats my next step?

ctr os pistons (12.6:1 cr)
bored .25 over
Vortech fuel rail and FPR
skunk2 IM
Outlaw Engineering intake spacer and TB spacer
OE 4 wire o2 sensor
j1 trans

-How rich are you running??
-Not much harm will be done to your motor by running rich, the only thing you might notice is the soot residue built up in your exhaust and when you floor it, a puff of black smoke will come out..

-Getting it properly tuned should help you determine why you are running too rich, and probably solve your issue

 

thanks... i just figured i already knew what i actually should do but i wanted to throw the question out there

 

running it wayy to rich is washing out the rings... leaning makes it go BOOM. :D
