Default Help Identifying Oil Port 2007 Civic LX

I searched and found the parts list sketches, but still I'm unsure if this is the oil fill port or drain port. These are pictures of the girlfriend's 07 Civic LX and the plug/cap that vibrated loose and fell off on the Interstate. She's almost 400 miles away otherwise I'd go check it out myself. These are the pics some insurance service tech snapped...without a description. I've never worked on her Civic nor anyone else's and this port doesn't resemble my Integra's ports. Plus the pics are closeup so it's hard to tell where it's taken, though there appears to be a driveshaft in one pic so thinking it's the drain plug that popped out?

Cliffs: What hole is this? Fill or drain?

Really appreciate any help and patience for the 06+ Civic nOOb

yea...that looks like the drain hole.

so if your drain bolt came off and you lost all the oil, is the motor still good?

We'll find out tomorrow when it gets towed to the dealer for an inspection and fresh oil. As soon as she heard the "pop" she pulled over and shut off the motor. Never made any ugly noises nor seized up. Plus the oil was still draining out at a good rate by the time she got out and looked under the front end.

BTW, "Mr. Tire" did the last oil change and some nimrod there didn't torque the drain plug properly. Just can't trust anyone.....

Thanks for the help guys

sounds like you can blame "Mr. Tire" and get a new motor from them, even if your motor is okay, it ran with no oil. i wouldnt want that motor anymore.

first fg with a k20 in it?!
