Why dont you like roots type blowers?
1) you see it is sitting directly over the exhaust manifold
2) if i were to use the other config, a new manifold would be needed, and it wouldnt be a decent design to accomidate correct flow equally from the blower to all four ports
3) there would not be enough space to fit a air-water intercooler on the intake manifold b/c the firewall is too close.
4) i mainly envision two double pumper carbs and a bird/small child err hoodscoop popping out of the hood of earlier musclecars.
Wouldnt it be sitting on top of the Intake Manifold, slightly aft of the exhaust manifold? And yes it would still retain some heat, but wouldnt a Vortec type design which sits like 8 inches to the left of the Exhaust manifold retain heat too?
well actually in the place where the a/c used to be, and i would use a powerdyne instad of a vortech (internal cog-belt drive instead of gear driven)
but what im looking for is to retain the stock manifold, and to use an intercoolAr
