j spec right side drive
does anyone have any info that would help me out on converting my 91 hatch to right side drive. i want this done to be different from all these other cars around here where i live thanks
OK prepair yourself, your about to be flaimed really bad so try not to listen to must off it. But back to your question, first you have to figure out if your really want to do that. That means no more drive throw (by yourself), and being targeted by thieves (and police). Secound, find out from your DMV or police station if it's even legal in your area. And third is sourcing a RHD front clip (passwordjdm, Hmotorsonline) and a good body shop.
ok thanks i think ill do with out the drive thru lol or i can go in reverse but yea i really do want to do this but what do u mean by get a good body shop to do this or w/e that means thanks
Well since your a still in trail mode that might have been your last post for the day so just let me clearify:
1) RHD conversion is really not as hard as it seems, you can do a fire wall swap (which I'm getting ready to do) which pretty much involves taking out your motor, everything in your engine bay, windshield and dash, drill or cut out about 10,000 spot welds, install RHD fire wall and spot weld back in. Or you can cut the front end off your car throught the A pillars and floor, and weld on the RHD front clip. But you have to make sure every little thing is 100% straight or else you'll never be able to get a good alignment again. So I would say go with option 1, and make sure you keep your vin off of the old dash (just for inspections and stuff). For a more detailed how too just check the "Search" in the upper right corner near log in and there is a write up from "EHonda" that is all you'll ever need. Good luck with the swap man (if you want to do it, do it and don't let other change your mind).
