Depends on what you want as most shops will have to special order. Most shops here do not keep an inventory.

o-town.. IM naturalVX, that's Wes and he might be able to get the parts you want.. that's the only shop in orlando that I trust.. but I've sure there's others there that are good (trust = would buy from, I would never let those supra lovers tocuh the car tho! )

There is another shop called Titan Motorsports but they are expensive, that's where Wes works at. THey have the fastest street tire Supra. 9.0 @ 160 with more to come this weekend at PA ( I got the inside scoop but can't reveal!)

Explain why not to deal with John Brown Racing. I have spoken with him many times and seems like a nice guy and know his sh*t. I was considering using him to work on my ITR but if there have been problems I would like to know about them beforehand.

 

OF course he's nice to you , he'll be all up your azz till he gets your money then good luck getting a hold of him.

I thought I knew him, I knew him for a couple of years, then I let him build up my car, he was SUPPOSED to resleeve it, never did, it was supposed to have JUN valvesprings in it, yea right, it was supposed to burn no oil-that was my original problem, it burned a quart a week if not more, He stole my old rods and pistons and injectors-did I get them back no, he promised me that the car would make 195 to the wheels and 13.5's, haha not without me putting anothre 2 grand almost to do that, ..To cap it off he MASSIVELY overcharged on labor and once he got paid he would not return my calls. I had to go to top management at BRAMAN honda to get him to call me back, when they had a talk with him he denied any promisesj/guarantees to me.. That's what I call a SHADY MUTHAFUCKA..

He has ALWAYS been a shady character and has done work like this since he's been in the business.. He only does good quality work on his own race car or somone else's car that would make him look good.

OK and if that's not a good enough reason, why do you think BRAMAN Honda who had a special performance division in their dealership FIRED his ***, BECAUSE THEY GOT SICK OF THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS ON HIS SHODDY WORK.

Last but not least if he is SOOO GOOD why did CASTROL RACING dump his ***?? Because he lavishly spent their money and he did not produce results.

I think that's enough said, I'm only one of a lot of people he has screwed over.

He has been screwing people over since he owned his shop called MAXSPEED in Lauderdale..

Our prices aren't that bad I don't stock much honda stuff, Flywheels, Clutches, VAFCs, B&M stuff. Nothing too crazy.

As for JBR I have heard a lot of horror stories, I personally helped Jeff deal with his and at first he was happy, but that didn't last long.

 

Wes go ahead and tell one of the horror stories you know about, so it doesn't seem like i"m the only one who has ever had a problem with him..

Actually, that is where I meet John, at Maxspeed. He dyno tuned my car. I knew he worked for Braman Honda doing High Performance work. I found out from the guys there that he was working out of Rick Case Acura. I went there to talk about engine work and he was in the process on putting a turbo on a PY ITR. He no longer works at Rick Case and has his own shop now in Lake Worth. Thanks for the info. Have you heard any stories about Pacific Performance in Ft. Lauderdale? Or who would you recommend?

 

STeven's a good guy, BUT he will MASSIVELY overcharge you as well...

HIm and John are friends btw just fyi... I don't trust shops in south Florida, they just want your all might buck.

Go somewhere else where it will be done right.

John is always hopping around cause he gets a bad reputation then has to get the **** out cause he ends up pissing a lot of people off..

 

I have a mechanic that I can trust but when it comes to hooking up a VTEC controller and/or dyno tuning I would like to bring it to someone who does this day in and day out. Tuning the car is the hardest part.

 

Topspeed in Naples or Kenji are the only 2 people in Florida that I have EVER let touch my hondas. Same goes if I buy one today (Titan is booked with supras for 6-8 months).

Jeff all I remember was having to fix your TB a few weeks after you got it back from JB and telling you how I felt you got ripped and you not believing, it wasn't till you took it appart that you saw the truth. I've also heard a few other horror stories but I would rather let the owners post them.

 

o yea I forgot to add this, I was supposed to have ITR valves and had just gsr valves. I was charged for it anyway..

I told you I don't know what kind of experience you had and I would have liked to help you out and even asked you if there was anything you needed. FAST94GSR I have nothing to prove to you about the kind of work we do here. I am sorry of what happened back then but I have many references you and customers you can talk to and see how they liked the work they had done by us. I have yet to rip some one off and don't plan on it, but I also have enough work to turn down someone like you who talks all this smack online but somehow I dought you would have the ***** to say anything to John or me if you saw one of us at a race. Just so you know the Castrol car was sold to somebody in Trinidad I believe who comes on this board as well.
