NOOOOO!!! REDLINE MTL!
Personally I have lost trannies (3 of them) due to red line. This is syncro failure and bearing failure.
I have used a lot of different fluids in the tranny.
I am using Swepco 20wt ATF currently. ATF has more shock absorbing additives that help in cases like hard launches. In other words, it doesn't squeeze out from between the syncros during hard shifts (creating metal to metal contact) I have used Swepco 30wt ATF as well, but the 20wt feels smoother. There have been several posts in the type r forum about using ATF instead of MTF for track use. Swepco is a non synthetic.
Honda MTF or ATF works great as well. I just prefer the Swepco products.
