And what were the basic differences between the EXs and LXs? I might be shopping for a comfortable car (for a change), and I really would like it to have a sunroof. Just wondering if you have experienced many problems with the sunroofs from these models, and which trim levels came with them. Thanks.

 

advantages of ex over lx:

-sunroof
-alloy wheels
-power seats
-slighty better suspension(rear sway bar)
-vtec engine(F22B1 145 hp/147 pd-ft torque)
-option of leather
-better exhaust manifold(4-2-1 system)
-slightly better exhuast system, double tip muffler


thatsa all i can think of, the only bad thing about the ex is the added weight but accords are not meant to be race cars so its ok for me.


definately get a 94-95 EX sedan/coupe 5-spd, one of the fastest 4 cyl accords ever made

 

I've never had a problem with my moonroof... my only complaint is that it's too small.

 

the only problem with my moonroof is that the motor is still working even in the closed position. like if you hold the close button down even after its closed, you will hear the motor. it would be better if it stopped automatiically, like the new accords.

 

the damed ex is too heavy, i would like a dx shell and transfer stuff........

 

They also have:
ABS
6 speaker stereo
bigger front sway bar
painted side mouldings

 

Actually, the front sway bar is the same diameter, and the moldings are not painted. Acura CLs had painted side mouldings, but I'm not sure if that was an option or not.

 

Don't forget rear disc brakes. And 73k on my sunroof with no problems.

ummm no. An LX has a 25MM front bar and an EX has a 27.2MM bar.

EX's have painted side mouldings, those are lower side skirts that you are thinking of. Yes they look sweet on Cls, I want mine painted.

 

Oh, I see what you mean. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Only the DX had unpainted handles and side moulding. The LX was painted. As for the sway bar, are you sure?

 

This would not be my "fast" car so weight is not a concern. This would be the car I could sit in traffic in, and drive without my girl friend complaining about the awful, bumpy ride in a non auto car (silly women ). I don't know. Buy a wrecked ex, or a non running mr-2. Decisions, decisions...

yeah btw the stock sound system on my 94 ex is pretty good, some people think i have aftermarket speakers or something b/c of the good base.


abs and 4 disc brakes are other things that are important.

 

oh lord....

maad phat bazz is not the measure of a good sound system.......

i hear all these stunnas in traffic with they **** bOoMiN y01 and i cant hear any mid range to any higher octaves, the **** sounds distorted too, but its all good y0! as loNg Az MaH sHiZ bE bOoMiN y0!!!

you guys notice this too?

 

i have an LX and i have rear disc's and ABS and the EX was the only one with paint side moldings on the doors...DX and LX's didnt.

 

i have this so called mad bass...but i also have mids and highs...but i dont like turning up the bass that much cuz i respect the drivers around me.

 

What a concept. Spread the word.

 

I have a LX and I got

Alloys
Sun/Moon roof you can use it either way pop up or slide back
Power seats are really not needed in that car
In-dash CD along with AM/FM cassette

No side moldings who needs it anyways

ABS would be nice but I never had to use it on any of my cars that had it (I do not drive crazy in bad weather) and keep enough distance between me and the other drivers

Tinted windows......cool thingie

damn sohc you have anger management issues. and NO i dont blast my speakers or whatever in traffic, im just saying the sound quality is much better than the lx. i work at a honda dealership and i've driven all types of hondas and know how they are.

Sunroof was installed by first owner and it is much nicer than the facroty one

car does not have power seats and it really does not need them

alloy wheels $240 for all 4 at the Honda dealer

 

oh ok gotcha...i just misread the whole power seat thing.....what alloy's did you get from the dealer for $240?

 

they are 14" guy states that 15" will not fit???????

 

How will 15's not fit? 17x7.5 will fit without rubbing.
