I have been informed that the stock retainers will bottom out and hit the the valveseal/guide when I install CTR cams in a PR3 head. I don't plan on installing CTR valvesprings, but keep my PR3 valvesprings. 7800-8000 rpm is the highest it'll ever see. Basically, the stock rev limiter.
If I can get away with CTR cams, then what other cams can I get away with, or what is the maximum lift that I can use without bottoming out the retainers?
Let me know!

Wow, this is music to my ears. I guess if I were to use a set of Brian Crower Stage 2 cams for my B16, then I suppose that it would bottom out then.
CTR cams are lookin' alot better now. Thanks to all that replied.
