Wednesday evening just riding in my ef leaving the job. While i was leaving i'm hearing a monsterist noise under the hood. So i pull over to see what it might be. We'll i put the hood and the motor is leaning. I look and the mount that's hook up to the mount well the bolts broke off in my block. The black piece that hook's up to the motor it has three bolt insert. To put bolts in. What if i try to drill these bolts out can i save the block or not. It's a b16 by the way.
If the bolts sheared off, you can drill them out. Or if there is some left on the outside you can try tapping them out. If you have to resort to drilling em out, to know that these bolts are tough as hell and get the best drill bits you can find. And plenty of em. Good luck.
get an easy out and the best bit you can buy to drill the holes for it. If you dont know what I am talking about, go to a FASTENAL if you have one near by or an auto parts store and tell them the diameter of the bolt you are removing (or attempting) and if they know what they are doing they will hook ya up with the right materials. An easy out is like a left handed tapered screw/tap, that when being screwed into the pilot hole in reverse direction (loosening) that you drilled it will tighten as it tapers wider, snag, and hopefully pull your bolts right out. I have removed many bolts with these and it is usually pretty easy as long as they arent bottomed out in the hole which tightens em to hell. Good luck.

Then you wont have to drill bigger holes in mounts, find new bolts to fit the length and ur new thread pitch and diameter. Much easier, if they arent siezed.

Yup, oil is a must.
Also, although the title of your post makes me giggle, try to be a bit more descriptive in there for future posts.
Good luck!

Another thing you can try is to just cut a nice sharp slot in the bolt with a dremel with the cutoff wheel. then use a flathead bit on an impact screwdriver, a couple whacks with a mallet should get them to turn and come out
drill em and use an easy out. I used one for a bolt on my rex last night. I found out there are square ones and the left handed tapered ones that gator said. Get the square ones they work a lot better.
