Default CRX is currently having cage welded in...concerned about hoop placement...feedback PLEASE!!

Like the title says my car is currently having a cage welded in. It's actually already tacked it, and the hoop is a like 5 inches in front of the back of the door jamb. I'm 6'3", and I'm like 90% legs, so I always ride with the seat all the way back. The guy claims that that is where it's supposed to be. He also claims that to move the hoop back would make the cage illegal, unsafe and useless for chassis rigidity.

I don't want the car that I'm spending all this time and money building to be impossible for me enjoy just because of seat placement. Give me some input on where the hoop can be located and some feedback on what I should do!

thanks.

look for some pics of some autopower bars. if my memory serves me correct they are as far back as you can go before there is the hump for the gas tank. I dont think it should be 5" in front of that

good because I don't even think you can get the seat back in if the hoop is 5" in front of the B-pillar..

btw what is the car built for?

i went up there and got them to modify it. The harness bar is what was preventing the seat from being able to move back so they're doing an offset harness bar, 6-8 inches back.

It's going to be a street car, i want to be able to track it occasionally.
