Help me pick a set of expensive coilovers for my BB6
why would you want the teins when koni yellows with ground controls and if you want the top hats would out preform both in every way also not to mention life time on parts and shock are customizabe and rebuildable
Where's the option for Ground Control / Bilstein or Koni..

I like my tein flex's revalved to the old prelude HA settings but they are by no means the "best"
whats the main purpose of the car?
expensive isn't always better.

1st I have to ask what youre doing with this car?!?!?
GC/KONI all the way.....wouldn never consider anything else.
You can start with the OTS rates and move up form there.....
I run 380f/400r with OTS Konis.
TEIN SS? Don't the rates suck?
Ditto the Tanabe....
Seems like they always put higher rates in front....no good for a RR setup.

I would agree on the GC/Koni combo, although IMO, the OTS Koni damping rates are a bit soft, especially on the front.
My best advice would be to find a set of used Konis for your car, and send them off to Koni to have them revlaved for stiffer spring rates from the get go. You really can't beat that combination for the money.
I used to run revalved/shortened Konis, and now I'm on Koni race shocks.
to Lee & Gordon at Koni!

I'm appreciating all the input here guys. I just visited the Koni website and it states that you an only drop the car 15mm-20mm with their sport shocks? So if I installed them with GC coilovers= blown?
If this is for a street car coilovers are a little overkill. Tein flex's are going to pound you. The only reason you should put coilovers on your car is if you want to track the car. Do what you want though.

As long as you don't have strut suspension on an autox car!

The Flex's have a softer spring rate (and probably correspondingly softer damping rates) than the HAs. I've ridden in a few HA equipped Preludes, and they were far from stiff or harsh, IMO.
Using an adjustable coilover has nothing to do with a car being used for track purposes or street only. What gives you that idea??

I have yet to ride in a car with Tein suspension that felt harsh in any way.
I don't want to make a judgement on their performance, though they are quite comfy if you know what I mean. On the other hand my brother's civic is ridiculous on the harder-sprung omnipower setup. I forget his rates but they're pretty ridiculous.
