clutch noise
In my 96 GSR, the clutch makes a squeaking noise when it's depressed. Sometimes this goes away. Do I need to apply grease somewhere? It engages fine, and has 83,000 on it. I also I have a rear hatch rattle, and was wondering how to fix that.

This clutch noise is really irritating me. It doesn't squeak when it's cold, but as soon as it warms up, it starts to sweak, and continues to squeak. This tells me it's not a lubircation problem..Any ideas?
I get that squeek when the clutch pedal is depressed now and then. Doesn't bother me at all as long as it still works.
You can try greasing up the pedal spring if you want.

Is it squeaking as you depress the pedal, or does it squeal as you hold the pedal down?
If it squeaks while depressing the pedal, it's something in the mechanism that may be able to be lubricated, but if it's squealing while holding the pedal depressed (with the engine running) then it's likely the release bearing going bad. If this is the case, it will eventually seize up, squeal continuously, and possibly damage the clutch fingers.

It only happens when I press it in, and goes away as soon as I release. What baffles me is it that it doesn't do it cold...Right as the temp gauge gets to normal, it starts doing it..
