Default dpfi to mpfi troubles

so i'm now in my engine bay doing the wirring for the injectors my question is this.

"Injectors and injector resistor box
Connect the yellow/black wires from the two DX injector harnesses and run it to the yellow/black wire on the injector resistor box.

1. Connect the yellow wire from the DX injector to the #1 injector (brown wire).
2. Connect the red wire from the DX injector and run it to the #3 injector (blue wire).
3. Connect the A3 wire to the #2 injector (red wire).
4. Connect the A7 wire to the #4 injector (yellow wire).
5. Connect the 4 red/black wires from injector resistor box to each injector.

"
When talking about the yellow wire. Which one? Use the yellow wire that is with the red wire or the Yellow/Blk wire? Or does it matter here is a pictrue of the plugs.

solder the 2 yellow/black wires (from each of those green plugs) together. then solder them to the resistor box. then each of the 4 wires coming from the resistor box will power each injector - in no particular order.

*edited the rest because i got it all wrong LOL*

i think you got it wrong. the blu/ylw + black/ylw = evac. the green plug with yel/blk and solid yellow is the old dx injector. the one that's cut and has the red and solid yellow wires shrink wrapped to the other wires are the other injector. i think this use to be a brown plug if i can remeber. it's laying around on the floor of the garage. but i'm at work.

each of the 2 original dx injectors should have a yellow/black wire

are you positive that the wire in the very bottom of the pic is solid yellow and not yellow/black?

okay so your saying the yellow / black and black yellow need to be connect together. See i've done this swap like years ago at least 7 years ago i kind of forgot.

yeah they are both solid yellow.

correct, no resistor box. just lump all the power wires together, and make sure that each injector gets a little piece of that action

if i remember correctly, stock obd1 injector power wires are red/black, just fyi

but when you get home, double check that you're dealing with the correct plug. because i'm pretty sure that each original dx injector is powered by a yellow/black wire. other than that, the instructions you posted look spot on.

it would make sense that the solid yellow wire would be from the injector that has the yellow/black wire. the other injector that has the red wire, and the wire that looks like a solid yellow should actually be yellow /black and not solid. this way i could see all wires being used.

okay I'm doing the same swap too! D15B1 dpfi to mpfi... I've done everything by the book and now my car is in limp mode! Let me know how your swap goes when you're done! Maybe i got something wrong or just got to check my connections at the ecu pins... (those pins are a PITA )
