vtec wiring question
i just dropped my GSR into my 92 dx. my question is as follows. i have a code 21 which is vtec spool amd my harness is a converted harness that has three wires that are seperated from the rest of my harness. common sence tells me these 3 lovely wires are holding me back from vtec bliss. where do i plug them in on the wiring harness in the engine bay? i don't wanna run them straight to my ecu, i mean i will but it just looks tacky. anyone know or can set me in the right direction?
you have too run them too you ecu you can make them neat in your harness but they have to make it there or you will get no vtec bliss! search for the ecu pinouts they are all over the place good luck
how does something hidden behind a kick panel look tacky? I would rather have three tacky looking wires and hitting vtec then having a nice looking harness
NO, IT'S NOT THAT IT LOOKS TACKY AT THE ECU. I WANT TO RUN THE WIRES BACK INTO THE HARNESS. 92'S are already wired for vtec, i want to find those wires and hook it up using the existing harness. this way i can pull the motor if need be and not need to remember what wire connected to what. basically turning it back into plug and play.
what i did was go to the junk yard cut sum ecu ends off so i would have the pins and i wired them that way to the ecu right thru the clip looks normal...i did the same for the engine side cut some wiring of a donor motor and plug and play...
it's much easier to show someone then ask over a forum. i wanna plug the 3 wires i have hanging, back into the wiring harness connector. basically turning it back to stock apperance. i need to know the pinouts of the passengerside connector. the ecu already has the wires the engine harness compartment connector does not. chassis is good to go, where do i connect the 3 wires to the connector?
