Default Prelude 98 base, vtec doesn't engaging at all

People, I need advise, any help I appreciate...I have 98 prelude base model, it was automatic...so I did the swap from 99 5 spd parts prelude...I run all the wiring under dash panel, ecu, engine , transmission...So now, I have 98 prelude with 5 spd tranny...I don't have any check engine light on, but vtec doesn't work at all, I feel mad, and rev limiter about 7-7,5...The only problem, I didn't run all the hoses to Fuel Evaporating Canisester(not sure the name of the ****) It's right next to Fuel Injection System on the left...Help me!!!Vtec solenoid seems ok'ay, oil pan is good, oil level good
