A/C Problem
The evaporator is making this high pitched noise when the ac is on. I don't think it's the blower, because it only makes the noise when the a/c is on. I can turn just the air on and it doesn't make any noise. I've heard the same noise (not as high pitched though) in the plumbing in a house before in some copper pipe. Any ideas?

Its going to make some noise as the refrigerant moves past the expansion valve. Whats the problem?

Did you have the system evacuated and recharged by a shop after you replaced the compressor? What happened to the old compressor? If it was some catastrophic then you might have a clogged expansion valve.

Had the system emptied and flushed, replaced the compressor, expansion valve, and reciever drier, so there shouldn't be anything in it. The inside of the old compressor was in alot of little pieces.

I'd say there is still debris in the system. Take it back to the shop that did the work and express your concerns over the matter. See what they have to say.

I was just up in the Logan area not too long ago. Visiting relatives in Preston, ID. I was kind of shocked how freakin hot it was up there. Worse then down here in California!
