Hello guys I'm really lost. I have an EK4 with a B16A2 engine.. I'm from S.America, Argentina. My car came with that engine.. the version of the car is a Civic VTi. It's pretty much the only EK4 with a B16A2 engine that came OEM EK9 Yellow. I used to live in CALI and used to own an EM1 00 Si. Well my question is.. Back when I used to live in CALI I had a Greddy EVO Cat-back with a DC Sport 4-1 Header and a AEM CAI. As I remember I think the Greddy EVO was a 2.5" cat-back Exhaust. Now I'm lost.. the car rolled pretty well with that set up but now on my EK I custom made an exhaust 2.5 with a 4-1 header and a short-ram Intake. A lot of people told me that b16s should go with a 2.25 piping and I should be loosing power with a 2.5 it's that really true? What about my Si with a 2.5 Greddy Evo? Should I make an 2.25 piping? I'm running straight pipe i think? I have no cat. Well thanks in advance for the help!

 

go with the 2.5in piping and a magnaflo muffler it will flow great and sound just as good and there not bad looking if you find the right tip.

 

2.5" will be fine.

I'll post some pics tonight... I have a custom made Exhaust with a 2.5"piping no cat. and a mid silencer and a OBX N1 Style Muffler tip... I dont feel the difference but my exhaust sounds tooooooooo loud my interior vibrates when I floor it... What can I do? So 2.5 will do just fine no need to make another one for 2 1/4? Ill post pic later on!

BTW I'm in Argentina now... No brand stuffs not even magnaflow...

2.5 is just fine, don't downgrade to 2.25. Get a 18'' resonator and a hi-flow cat welded on there, that'll definitely help quiet it down.

 

those hatches are awesome... are those oem sunroof?

To answer your question, yes the sunroof is OEM.

I already put a resonator on it... i think? It's a silencer that thing that looks like a cat. (alike but not a cat i think it's a resonator) and I have an OBX N1 Style Muffler don't know whats wrong... I think imma put the silencer tip on it.

Thanks for the comment! Yes it's OEM my car comes with the JDM headlight with the city light included as parking lights. You can tell from the pic also that my side mirrors can be twisted and has side miror defrosters :D I love this EK.

 

The US market got swashbuckled.
Ek is super clean.

Thanks! I didn't know any b16a2 until I had my EM1 00 Civic Si back when I lived in Cali... But in Argentina there were b16a2s since 94... civic hatchback VTi..

I thought so.. now my problem is... my muffler it's tooooo loud! my interior vibrates! Thanks for the comment!
