Default High Idle....Codes 5. 7. and 14

I fixed one issue and now have to fix another. I can't seem to get the idle down, the cable adjustment is fine i.e its not to tight.

I am not for sure what the piece is on the side of the throttle body near the blade but its a rod that goes into a diaphragm type piece and when I push it in the idle goes down but as soon as I let off the rod it starts idling high again.

Any ideas?

Thanks

your cable is too tight...try taking the cable off and starting it.

I took the cable completely off and it still idles high.

On startup it idles fine for about 5 seconds and then the check engine light comes on and it immediately idles high again.

I don't have a tach however I am going to take a guess that its idling at 1800 or so.

Still codes 5,7 and 14 exist.
