Default HELP!!!1 - Mounting Type-RRRRR rear lip for 93-95 Civic Coupe Bumper

I picked up a rear lip for my Coupe. *Dont flame*. Just wondering, how do u get this thing to sit flush and not come off? The only points to mount seem like on the very end.

I've seen cars with the lip mounted on quite flush and sturdy but no clue how to get there.

Heres some pics.

Thanks in advance,
Jon

3M double sided, all weather sticky tape is your friend, at least for that rear lip. Looks to be ABS. The tightness of it around the bumper as it flares out is crucial in holding it on, but you'll have rubbing and scraping paint issues if you don't secure it with a good strip of 3M all the way across.

Did that to mine about a year ago, and the lip has not budged yet. Just make sure you give everything a good cleaning and drying before you apply the tape.

Oh you can also use some Dupli-Color Adhesion Promoter w/ the double sided tape to ensure stickyness.

Okay, double sided tape. There is one made by Scotch that is for super heavy duty (upto 5 lbs, red roll) for about $18 from Home Depot. Is that what your talking about?

Awesome, have any pics of prior when you put it on? Where can I find some 3M double sided tape. Ive checked Osh hardware, Home Depot and Other pharmacy stores and no luck. Also, where do you apply the tape, the only part of the lip that touches the bumper is the top of the lip when it touches the bumper and the sides of it. Also, did you just use mineral spirits/paint thinner to clean it off before u applied the tape?

The Adhesion promoter is the spray for putting paint onto plastic Im assuming? If it is, its the one in the spray can right?

Thanks for the help guys! Help me get this lip on the bumper!

Yep. I actually got mine at Home Depot. Anywho, yes, I just spent some time, and put the strip from the top of the lip (the only part that really touches the bumper) down, and she does well. Sorry, no installation pics, it seemed too straightforward a process to record at the time, but it'll look damn clean if you do your best not to get any tape where you'll see it above the lip.
