turn over but no start
93 del sol 1.5 from what i undestand it is fuel pump related, i was told to turn the key on and when the check engine light turns off it should click, meaning the fuel pump turned on, well when my car is hot, it will either click and and then click again and the light will come back on or the light will just stay on and no click period, or the light will turn off and still no click, im going to replace my main relay, is that what i need to do? help
do you hear the fuel pump prime when you first turn the key to on?
if so, and no check engine light, i'm willing to bet its the coil. its common for them to quit on 10+ year old hondas.
EDIT: wait... so sometimes there is a check engine light? have you pulled the code to see what it is for???

no the check engine is only when i first turn the key on without starting and usually when it turns off it is suppossed to make a click sound and when it does that it will start but right now when it turns off it dosen't tick or just stays on and i don't have a obd I scanner, i cant really hear if the fuel pump is priming cause the car is in a parking lot and its noisy outside.
I went back to my car at 7 that evening and it started no prob, only when the car has been baking in the 100 degre heat all day or been driven for a while it won't start, but if its night time or in the moring when its cool it will start no prob.
crack the fuel line open at the filter or rail to see if you have pressure, then swap on a distributor from a working car to see if the coil is good, if that isnt it id check the injectors and give it a tune up
