Adding oil to the "break in oil"
i check my oil religously due to the fact that im a psycho, i have 2k on my car and i added castrol 5w30 (non synthetic) to fill it up to the second hole on the dipstick. Is that ok to mix with the break in oil????
thats funny, ive heard quite the opposite, in fact, ive heard that its ok to mix synthetic with regular oil, at least to top it off. well im no expert and you may be correct so hopefully someone smarter than us can tell us for sure!
You can mix any type of oil, brand of oil, and any viscosity of oil you like and nothing *bad* will happen.
If you needed to top off your factory fill, thats better than running it low on oil because you didn't want to mix them!
