Default JDM vs USDM -- Air Conditioning

I recently picked up a 96' jdm itr that orginally had AC. The previous owner apparently removed the ac compressor/bracket and condensor from the car along with the driver side lines.

I know someone selling a complete usdm itr ac setup. I know the lines probably won't work but can anyone confirm if the compressor/bracket and condensor will work? I'm thinking I can have someone local make the ac lines needed to complete the setup unless somebody has those by chance.

I was under the impression that '96 JDM R's didn't have A/C what so ever. And it wasn't until '98 in Japan that it was an option?

I don't know, but it seems to me that you already know the answer. All the USDM stuff will work, bracket, compressor, etc. The lines from the condensor to the compressor will work as well, it's just the charge lines that go into the passenger compartment that are gonna be different.

94rs-turbo, thanks for the condensor info.

highroller54, you have a PM.

pvt_awol, the radiator support actually has A/C stamped into it so I'm pretty sure it wasn't added but came that way from the factory.

all of them have a/c stamped into them, from what i could tell is that the equipment is the same its just the hard lines that differ
