Default Apexi VAFC and Hondata s200???????

Hey,

I just purchased a hondata s200 system for my lude but I already have a Apexi VAFC. I was wondering would I be able to use the VAFC and the hondata or would i have to remove the VAFC to use the hondata. If i do have to remove the VAFC does anyone know any links that shows step by step how to remove it? Thanks

You have to uninstall the vafc. Unplugging it will cause a check engine light.
Theres one looped wire that needs to be reconnected but the color escapes me now. See if you can get a VAFC1 install book from APEX's website.

Actually you CAN leave the AFC in with hondata. Just zero all the settings out on the AFC and tune it with hondata. I was too lazy to take it out of my nitrous car and my tuner had sometime to kill so we put the s200 on the street car. Been like that since last year. And its fine

Edit: You can always take it out and sell the AFC. I just don't care and don't have the time

How would I set all the settings to zero because I don't have a manual for it and I was looking on the apexi website and found nothing. Also for some reason when I removed my ECU and installed it back in the throttle position % is all messed up because at idleing even if your foot is not on the peddle it jumps from 11% to 13%. Any idea of whats going on???????

Its an old used VAFC that has seen alot of in/out work.
Just try to dig up a manual and take it out......
I wouldn't even try to sell it.....it may not be good.
But, yah of course you can just zero everything out and have it just for show.

Go to your settings for Hi Thrtl and Lo Thrtl, and put everything down to zero across the rpm.

Otherwise, if you want to completely remove it, follow this diagram and connect the following wires back together to the ECU: VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure, VTM (if it's hooked up). Then also remove the power and grounds. The rpm and TPS should only have been tapped into, remove the wire tap. Tape off all exposed wires in your ECU harness.
