Default Type r cap & rotor fit B16 dizzy?

I took off my cap the other day & noticed my rotor was worn to an angle as well as the contacts. Other than, cap looked pretty good. I'm getting some tuning done soon & was thinking about replacing the cap & rotor before hand. I can't remember where I heard this from but I heard a type r rotor is a little more beefier than regular b-series rotor & can be interchanged. Will a type r cap & rotor work on my obd-1 B16 distributor from my b16a3?
thanks

Is there any difference between the two? Do you know if in fact the type r cap & rotor are more stout. I also noticed that 2000 gsr/itr are same part number.

Would I need to get a different screw that holds it on instead of the one that my rotor comes with?

Hey, I just replaced the whole distributor for 150 off of eBay no core deposit, shipped to the door. the bearings were shot inside my last one. the main shaft connecting to the cam was totally loose. put in new one and she fired right up.
These distributors are brand new, not refurbished. recommended+++
not to big on rebuilding something, id rather have a warranty.
not much of a help on the tech end, but fixed my problem.

What brand?

Anyway if anyone else wanted to know, I discovered for a b16 distributor, you just have to use the B16 cap & the type rotor.

that is the exact one i ordered, they also do free shipping if your willing to wait.
I ordered mine last Monday and it came yesterday.
they also offer a couple other shipping options for a little more cash.
sounds like your in a pinch.

I have a friend that is running the same brand on his b16 crx and has had it for over a year.
like you said, the part numbers for a gsr and a type r distributor are the same.
and they charge $100 more for a people that order under the type R auction..

Yea I forgot about them, heard good things about them awhile back. I don't need a new distributor, just wanted to upgrade the rotor & replace the cap. If it ever ***** the bed, i'll definetly be purchasing from them.
