Default 90 CRX HF fuel pump doesnt prime

Ok so I just got my crx running again. I bought it off of someone and I have just been getting it working again. When I had it running about 2 months back I noticed that the fuel pump wouldnt prime at times.

Well I just got it running again today and the fuel pump would prime time after time when it was cold. But once it warmed up it wouldnt prime. I dont think there is a code. I had the car running until it got to operating temp and I shut it off. But then the fuel pump just wouldnt prime at all, so I wasnt able to start it up again.

Any idea what it wrong?

have someone crawl underneath and beat the fuel tank with a rubber mallet while you try to start it...if it starts good everytime you do that, just get a new pump.

Ok, so I went out today and the car started right up again. I felt down by the main relay and it was clicking when it was turned on accesories. So me and my friend went for a little drive and got it to running temp. When we got back we tried to start it.

Like before it didnt prime or start. So I turned it to accesories while feeling the main relay and it didnt click on or off. But then I turn the car off then back on acc. and it didnt click but then a second later it did, and the car started.

So tomorrow I will replace it with the one in my civic and see how it runs. Thanks for the help

The replacement main relay workes. Im not sure why I didnt think of it earlier. Because the main relay seems to be everyones go to answer when there is a problem with starting or a problem with the fuel pump not priming.

So now my car workes perfect. Thanks a lot guys.
