Default lookin to buy a 5th gen prelude

as the title says i am looking to buy a 5th gen lude, but first i have a couple of questions about them. most importantly, what kind of gas mileage can i expect to get? i need something pretty good on gas, so let me know what you guys are gettin. also, how worth it would it be to try to find an sh? there arent many around here, but if theres a huge differece then i might just have to wait until an sh pops up. thanks for the help

mileage is about 21city/28 hwy. not GREAT but decent imo.

and SH isn't better in numbers, its better for turns. ATTS makes more power to outter wheel for a better turn, but doesn't work above 250whp roughly (just regurgitating, i didn't make these rules/theories) and they have the lipkit + spoiler stock + wheels. the base models in auto are troublesome, so stay away from those. get the base 5spd manual and ur good to go.

oh and just go into the FAQ and search for SH vs. base. there's a lot of info there

i have a base model and its all the same perfromance..but an SH will be faster than u threw the twistes..but other than that the SH is a lil heavier than the Base due to the ATTS! also exhausts are easier to find for the base rather than the SH, once agian becuz of the ATTS!! lol..so yea get a base u can even find sum with the OEM lip kit! and DEFF!!!! stay away from the AUTO!! besides preludes are fun in the 5 speed!!!! VTEC JUS FEELS SEXIER LOL

Yeah Ive heard alot of bad about the automatics.. however that might just be because people are abusing them. They are probably fine for grandma.. But 5speeds are really good cars, and real fun.. The SH's definately look alot better, but thats my opinion..

What's the different in appearance between the base model and the SH other than rims?

I guess you've never seen one... Some of the base models done come with the spoiler, although alot do... But the SH has the much better wheels, and it has a stock body kit that looks SICK. trust me, there is a difference... 2 of my friends have 97 Red Ludes.. Ones an SH.. Way better looking.

Well for one thing, those wheels on the base one arent stock... And the body kit makes the car look alot better, especially in person. Base ones look alot higher, and with stock wheels and no spoiler, arent that attractive.

But the OEM body kit and wing were options for the base model as well. They weren't SH specific. The only thing that was SH specific was the rims.
