Cheap and easy, just a direct change. Although, they can be a PITA to get out. Inside of your hood, on the front where the bulbs are, you turn the bulbs 90 degrees and pull them out, the low-beams are pretty difficult to get to unless you have small hands. You can do projector lights, but expect to shell out some cash.

If you've got the money and are into wiring, the HID Conversion Kit-projector/halogen lights are nice. I have found the problem with them is the higher the rate 4000k, 6000k, 8000k you go the less they actually light the road in front of you and the more you **** off on coming trafic. If you are going to go with the HID's do some research as to the practical ratings on them. What are you looking for bling bling (rice) = blue(6000k and up) or functional = below 6000k.

After all was said and done. I went with a set of 4000K PIAA H1 Xtreme White Plus highs and lows. They are more than bright enough for even the extreme dark, fog and snow. I hardly even use my high beams the 4000k PIAA lows are good enough.

They are just as reliable as stock replacements......$70 for a pair of PIAA's vs $250+ for the HID Kit

yea i was thinking bulbs would be cheaper but from looking at the manuel it appeared it was going to be a pain in the *** to swap them and might be worth the $ and time to replace the whole thing, but i may just go with the bulbs and suck it up....thanx

Are they DOT approved / street legal. Probably said right on the box that they are for show (rice) or off road use only.
