Be happy for the guy, he is trying. Sport compacts from what I have heard already have a bad name with the Powerade people, he is doing something for all of us.

what have u heard?
proven people on the POWERade side: Scranton(came from v8s), Humphreys, Hartford(the jury is still out), and Grant Downing. Have they given the Sports Compact a bad name?

powerade and sport compact pro cars are oceans and mountains apart. The pro RWD cars now a day in SC are built just like the pro stock cars though. haha.
Hey, thanks again everyone for the good words and support. Yes Bob Glidden is back out and helping us out. Richard Masking hired him to look over things, and to have another great mind in the pits. We have been out testing, and He is a really cool guy. And I can say I have already learned alot in 2 days. No matter what happens, there is alot that can be learned from one of the Prostock legends. He is very excited, just as all of us are, and we hope for great things in the near future.
We do own the team, the rig, and all of the parts, except for the engines. We lease motors from Richard Maskins, and he is very smart with motor building. We don't have a power issue, but just have some things with the whole setup that need to get straightened out, so that we can be more competitive. And that is why Bob is giving us a hand. Hopefully we can get things going in the right direction soon, and finish the year out strong.
I still miss the Sport Compact side, and miss driving the Lexus. But it will be back out very, very soon. A good friend of mine is going to be driving it, and will be out within the next week or so. Us sport compact guys really don't have a bad rap at all on the Powerade side. Most people just don't understand them, but are amazed at the power they make. I think they are going to be impressed when Indy comes around, and they get to see FWD cars going 200. NHRA should let the modified cars run in Pro Rear for Indy, so that there will at least be 2 good classes there. It would only make it look even better. Not to drag on here, but just wanted to say thanks again, and good luck to everyone the rest of the year. Stop by the pit if you make it out to any Powerade races.

good luck on the rest of the year! Sorry that I haven't made it out to a race yet but I am hoping to get to a few by the end of the year. I will drop you a line before hand, as I said in Pomona, I am more then willing to be free labor.

Now if we do make it out to a Powerade event, and we say hi, do we get anything in return for gracing you with our prescence and not disowning you for taking a very popular car away from us LOL! Just kidding dude. I probably will hit you up at the dallas race. See you there man.

Asshat..... the Powerade teams frown very much on us as a sport. When was the last time you went out had a V8 give you some respect before you put it on their ***. Most likely never, that attitude carries over to 95% of the Powerade teams. Look how Shaun Carlson got done. He got screwed only cause his crew chief was pissed that his son didn't get to drive for Shumacher. And that happened cause Shaun did great things for Mopar and they told Shumacher, "if you want the deal, he is going to drive one of the cars for you." And Shaun got screwed dude. Meraculously after Shu sold the car it has qualified at every event. WEIRD!!!!!!! And look at your people in the Powerade series, most of them business corporate kiss asses. Now take a good look at yout typical S/C guy, tattoos, piercings, crazy hair, they generally view us as punks. But whatever dude, as much as I would love to be in the powerade series, I love it here.

The guy you are talking about, that supposedly screwed Shaun, is Bob Glidden, the guy that will now take Humps to the next level! Bob is a true racer. Very intense at what he does and wants to do whatever it takes to win. Bottomline. That is the mans mentality.
If anybody got screwed out of the whole Shumacher deal it was Glidden. Building a PS team from scratch, including their own in house motor program, for one man is no easy task. Yes Shaun ended up with the short end of the stick as well, but his good friends at Momma Mopar took care of him.
The reason Richie's car starting running so well is because Roy and Allen Johnson, and Mark Ingersoll, are beasts. Once Nickens got involved with the Shumacher team that is when things went south .. just look at Erica Enders this year .. Who is using Nickens HP ... But its not all in HP with PS, its alot in the cluch, setup, driver dept as well.
PS is no joke. Its takes a good team, good engine, good crew chief, and an excellent driver, plus tons of $$$$$$$$$, to even think about getting into the show. You have to make a perfect run, every run. Especially on Friday nights. Humps has that MD blood in him so we know he has the driving part covered.
But back on subject, Congrats to the Raceredi team and all their accomplishments this year. They have come a very long way in a short period of time. Im sure with the addition of BG to the team, you should start to see this team go some rounds on Sunday. Best of luck to them.

Well Congrats to you J on everything. Though, you did take away my shop name and that hurt "radeRedi" YOu are a great racer and loyal to your fans. Most of the past crosover racers dont even bother to stay in touch with their fans. Hell you are not even a "Honda" guy. so to speak with the lexus and all. But you are still here keeping us updated, "in person" Thats deep and appreciated man. I fast forward through the TIVO section of prostock if you dont qualify.
Any news you or any one can share on the other SC to PS converts? Matt & Matt.

I dont believe that for a second. Jason does so much for that team other than drive.

Yep but I have heard that they feel his talents are better spent in the shop than behind the wheel!!!
It would be interesting!!!

I'm sure that would be the biggest slap in the face to him. I met Jason Line last year at the Fall Nationals and he seemed ok. I think for people to say his talents are better served in the shop than behind the wheel even after he just won the championship is really off the wall. Intrigueing. Justin, you got passes for me to hang out in your pit to fall nationals there.
