Well folks, today was the day that i officially curbed my right passenger front rim. stupid ignorant big girls...that don't know how to drive what so ever. Let me tell you guys the story. I was on my way to a restaurant to get an application, and these girls in front of me we're driving pretty slow. So we go around this bend...and i get on the outside lane. They just so happen to turn very wide and got in my lane..so i veered right a bit so that their car wouldn't hit mine and that's when it happened. okay
/rant.

But my question is, do you guys think it would cost cheaper to have it done myself or have a professional do it.
Keep in mind that i have never done anything with sanding, bondo, or any of that stuff. It looks fairly simple though, but would it come out as if i were to give it to the bodyshop? need opinions and what not guys. thankss.

bondo and sand your wheel?

What did you damage? Maybe I missed it, but it sounded like you said you screwed up your wheel... clarify what's damaged, please!

 

aren't the 06 07 si wheels aluminum? and just curious (im not a wheel guy) how would you fix a curb scrape. I feel yah man ive done that plenty of times before... not on my si yet ... knock on wood...

 

i curbed the rim...it seems like i chipped off a good amount of aluminum. but its not deep...so im pretty sure its repairable..and when i was tlaking about bondo and sandpaper...i was going buy this DIY

Stock or aftermarket wheel?

 

stock 07 si wheel.

 

Just sand it, put primer on then use a sprey paint can and repaint it. It should be good as new in no time.

Don't be too afraid to use the sandpaper to sand the damage. It'll turn out just fine.

Oh and that DIY is great, although you don't really need to follow every single step. I only did the sanding, priming then sprey painting.

 

wouldnt that bondo help like level out the rim? instead of making it look like its level.
