Default H22 rods

Hello,

I am building a NA H22. I am using a custom Wiseco piston. I was set on Carrillo rods (A Beam) until my engine builder told me he had a set of Carrillo's break while on the dyno. He is recommending Manley or Pauter but not Eagle.

I checked and the Pauter rods seem to be the heaviest of the bunch.

My ? is has anybody had a bad experience with Carrillo rods in the recent past? If so, I will not run them. Thanks for the help.

I know for a FACT that it happened to Earl Laskey.

Recently, I just heard the same thing from a local engine builder. I know the person it happened to as well.

Anybody else have problems with Carrillo rods?

The ProA rods were not designed for turbo's. The rating of the 3 rods avail. from them is on there website. Earl should have been using H rods, just like the Cup teams.
