Default [HOW TO] - Adjust the hight on your non adjustable steering wheel.

I take no responsiblility in anything you do to your car. If your like me and you own a civic with a non adjustable steering wheel you may want to consider this.

Your steering wheel hight is fixed in the highest position possible, but i have figured out a way to lower the steering wheel to whatever hight you want.

1. There are only 2 nuts between you (No pun inteneded) and a lower steering wheel. Start by taking off your lower panel below your steering wheel, its held in by three screws.

2. Take off the big metal bracket deally ma-thing its held in place with 2 10mm bolts.

3. You should be able to see what your doing now. Unscrew both of the nuts that hold your steering wheel up until proper drop is achived.

4. Create a spacer of some sort, I used a pen tube with a slit going vertically to wrap around the threads, to take up what slack there was when i moved the steering wheel down.

5. When done you shouldn't be able to move the steering wheel up. Use some thread lock, so your nuts don't keep adjusting downwards, and tighten the bolts down.

Unless ive forgotten somthing that about all there is. Just remember to put everything together again.

I just thought id share my experiences with all of honda tech. I'd say getting the spacer on was the hardest thing to do. I can't/don't see any reprocushions of doing this either, but do this at your own risk.
