The Honda Manual has instructions on the removal...if you donta have that PM me and I can get you instructions....The best way... is to get some piano wire and use it like a saw to remove the glass....Take your time and have patience or you will definitely break it....

I jsut don't know what you mean by the quarter glass on a hatch.

Usually quarter glass refers to the little window behind the rear window on a sedan.

Are you talking about the hatch glass?

on si the sunroof has bronze tint, and all the jdm glass has bronze tint. so when i got my jdm hatch with the jdm hatch spoiler it looked kinda odd to have the sunroof glass and the hatch glass with bronze tint. So i searched and found some doors and the side glass (qtr 3/4) side pop out glass for my hatch. Didn't have time to try to install tonight, might have to do it first thing after work tomorrow. We will have to see, it just sitting in the rear seats of the hatch now, with the jdm door panels and switches.

went to go install the glass, got the usdm glass off that was easy, thanks jose. But went to mount the jdm glass and
"Houston we have a problem" the mounting points are completely off. So mad some calls and found out that i need to have a glass shop swap the hardware out since they are completely different.

I am open to any suggestions anyone has to get this job done.

Thanks.

Contact Erik Kroese (fourthgenhatchb17) and ask him. He has done the swap.

Is the metal glued on? If so use a metal putty knife and heat it up with a torch, this will cut that glue like butter. Run the knife around best you can and pry it off very carefully. Glue it back on with window weld.

x2 thats the only way to do it.. 88-89 direct install.. but 90-91 you have to take the brackets off and reinstall

I bought a 91 Civic Si. The rear quarter glass was broke. I looked to see how to put the new in, but it bolts on in a little rectangular slot however there is no way to get a bolt in there and hold it to screw it in. If you still have the manual I could use it, or if you know a way to put the new glass in, besides drilling a hole into the a pillar, please let me know.

The original poster of this thread (which is 9 years old) hasn't signed on to hondatech in nearly 2 years (aug 2014). So I wouldn't expect a response from the guy.

Yeah I didn't think there would be a reply since the thread is really old, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
