Nippon Oil Co. ENEOS 0W50
I ran this for a cycle of 2800 miles and am very happy with it. It's a full (TRUE) synthetic oil. Before this I used Mobil 1 (Which is now a downgraded synthetic) from my first oil change @ 1000 on the odometer all the way up until 2800 miles ago. When I took out the plug from the oil pan I was VERY VERY surprised to see that the oil was just a tad darker then when I put it in, held up very very good and I burned less then a measurable amount of it. The oil has a clear orangish type of color to it and honest to god came out almost looking like when I put it 2800 miles and 4 months later.
What led me to try this out is my mechanic Jarrod started to carry it and tested out on a few different cars with different set ups, 2 of the cars were his own... one being his 480whp Turbo Integra which made +17whp over Castrol Syntec 10w30, and his stock motor NSX which made +11whp over Castrol Syntec 10w30. Which is roughly exactly what they claim in percentages, +3 to 4% wheel horsepower increases.
I didn't want to do this little write up until I went through a fresh pan of it, and I'm very very happy with it. I urge you guys to give this stuff a chance for a few changes to see how you like it. Here's a little more information about it for you guys.
My R definitely had more pep in it's step after the first change, it was quite noticeable. Just did my 2nd change of this today.

Seems pretty pricey though for a daily driver, roughly $10 a quart.

Maybe one of the ebay sellers would be willing to ship it to you.

I just checked on ebay, shipping is pretty expensive. I think the stuff works out to be about $15 a quart. I can live with $10, but 15 seems steep, not including taxes and the boarder shake down.
one guy wants $75 us for shipping to canada on 6 quarts!!!
I've just googled the oil weights, and i am haveing a hard time figuring out which oil to use. I have always used 5w30, and I don't know why. could someone explain why 0w50 is better? I know the first number is cold temp, and the lower the number the colder it's intended for. I'm lost about why the warm umber being higher is better.

I would agree with Cory as well. Thousands of dollars in a motor makes me want to use $10 a quart oil even more. The most protection available is the best prevention. You don't buy cheap *** rubbers do you?

LMAO.
I still want more proof.

I strongly urge everyone that has access to a dyno to do the HP test for it. Make a pull on whatever oil you're currently using, drain it, refill it with this oil and make another pull. It'll put the skeptics to rest as well as be a great addition to this thread.
Yeah, or like I mentioned to the other guy, call around some performance shops that are close enough for you to drive to and check to see if they carry it, or can get it, and just order a case of it or something. (If they don't stock it)
Nice Ali, I'm going to call my buddy Jarrod to see if I can just buy cases in bulk from him at a little discounted price, then figure out and estimated shipping cost and then I'll be able to get anyone who wants some hooked up.
there was a guy on ebay who had free shipping to people in the states. Shipping in the states is cheap. If i remember correctally it works out to about $10 a bottle, not that bad.
$90 an oil change is pretty bad if you live in canada. I think i'll ge a buddy to bring some up the next time they go to the states, and depending on the dyno results, i think maybe more.
Hey also, nobody answered, but is a _W50 oil better than a _w30 oil? the 50 rating refers to the oil protecting like a 50 weight oil, and not the viscosity of the oil right? or is the 50 rating going to rob hp by being thicker, but can absorb more heat, necessary in "racing" conditions?
