New rims and rattle can fun
I picked up another set of ITR rims to mount a set of A032rs I had in my garage. The rims where hammered due to the fact they where road raced. To cover up the scratches and caked on brake dust I decided to flat black the rims. The paint job is OK but they will on be seen on the track so looks where not too important.
This bondo spray can gun thing kicked *** it made the painting much easier.

The first wheel finished and it is also the best of the four. The paint is still a little wet but you get the idea.

Here are the finished rims drying outside.

GapxGuy-These wheels will be used for Road Racing so the wheels will get scratched and beat on so rattle can is perfect. Plus black covers up brake dust which my pads do a lot.
The Shadow-I used Dupli-Color Low Gloss Black Engine Enamel
fckfrddrst- You will be the first to know if I ever decide to get rid of those rims.

Nice wheels, tires, car, etc. Good idea with the color of the paint. I just painted my wheels and haven't had to wash them in almost 3 weeks now. I love dark colors.
what benefits do those tires give you on the street?
goofing off around corners.

"but its true, its true"
THE wheels do look good, but no need to waste a track purpose tire just to have extra grip on the street where you cant get the full limits/benifits of thos tires... JMHO, but do what you like....

My favorite benefit is not having to tap the brakes when turning a corner.

I'd just rather save that tire for the track instead of taking off thread on the streets(but thats just Me) dont kill me.
Just save them for the track like you plan on doing anyway

seems like the new thing is to have black rims and 205/50/15's with some soft compound for driving 25mph around town "FLoSsinGz da SkRiLLa j00 goT"
That looks soooo good.. it covered up the scrapes and stuff that were on them right? What exactly did you use on the wheels again? What paint/anything else you put on them.. i think i might do that to my 94 gsr wheels.. they were beat to hell by the previous 2 owners of the car.. I think i really wanna do that to them.. cuz they look crappy now! Let me know man! TIA
