i was wondering if I need to gap them, and if i do, by how much?

You heard you can do what??
Dont worry about how big the gap is out of the box...dont trust that. Just gap them anywhere from 0.28-0.30 and you will be good.

Yes sir.
You never want to trust spark plugs that are "pre-gapped." It never hurts to just check.

.025 - Advance auto zone or where ever, get a spark plug gaper (like $1) looks like a big silver dollar
I had mine before at .035 just fine when i put them in, then for some reason down the road it misfired like crazy under boost.
.025 is what my buddy said and he knows his **** (boosted gutted hatch running high 10's strickly track)

You really want it as big as you can before you start having misfire problems. I used to run around .032 with 350hp no problem.</TD></TR></TABLE>
You are not going to misfire from a .025" gap. I've ran as close as a .018" before with no problems. Sometimes dizzy's arent tht great and the only way you can compensate is by closing the gap in the plug.

I said gap as big as you can w/o misfiring (from blowing the spark out). I wasn't saying you'll have misfiring problems from going to tight.

Ok... I misread what you said. But technically, you don't need it "as big as you can." Go smaller from the get-go and save yourself having to regap the plugs on the dyno.
